April is National Stress Awareness Month, and a report from the Society for Vascular Surgery shows that kicking the month off with laughter can be very beneficial for your health.
“Laughter increases blood flow and improves the function of blood vessels, “Dr. Vivienne Halpern, from the Society for Vascular Surgery said in a press release. “Reducing stress is especially beneficial for persons who have hypertension (high blood pressure).”

“One comes, finally, to believe whatever one repeats to one’s self, whether the statement is true or false.”
–Napoleon Hill
Our inner dialogue can have awesome power. It often determines the behavior that defines who we are. We do, of course, have some choice as to the direction this inner dialogue will take. It’s as easy to affirm our self-worth with positive messages as it is to tear ourselves down with negative ones. And yet, many of us fall so easily into negative patterns of thought.

Do It Now!
How often during the course of the day do you put off doing things – calling old friends, apologizing for errors made in judgment, finishing a project, following up on an idea, spending time with family or a loved one? Usually, I am pretty good at such things but for the past few weeks I’ve been meaning to touch base with my neighbor across the street. She’s an elderly lady named Janet. Janet has spark and pizzazz and a spring in her step. She is such an inspiration. Busy and on the go always visiting her children and grand children. With my busy schedule I haven’t had time to visit with Janet. I haven’t seen her out in a while and I just figured that she’s been busy. I’ll stop by to check in on her one of these days. Better yet, I’ll call her. So today I called Janet but got her voice mail so I left her a message.
The 4 Agreements to Happiness
I just finished reading this great book and I had to share it with you. The Four Agreements: A Practical Guide to Personal Freedom. These amazing teachings from Don Miguel Ruiz are truly a perfect guide to live a happy life. The secret is in applying each one of the agreements to your daily living. The application of these concepts requires daily discipline, commitment, determination and the desire to be congruent in everything we do, say and think.

The Power of Gratitude
How much time do you spend feeling genuine gratitude? We often notice what does not work in our lives or relationship, and we tend to ignore the brilliant parts that do work. The simple attitude of gratitude is one of the most powerful creative energies. Energy flows where attention goes. Whatever you focus on you bring more of it to you. For instance, if you want more love in your life, you can make it happen by expressing gratitude for the blessings of love you already have.
How to succeed as an Entrepreneur – 8 steps to keep you on top!
Fourteen years ago, I said goodbye to my last boss and launched my first business. I’ve owned 3 businesses since then. I’ve gone through booms and recessions. I’ve hired, I’ve fired. I’ve loved it – though, I confess not every minute. Looking back on 14 years, I believe these are among the most important lessons (and you will encounter many lessons) I’ve shared with and learned from other entrepreneurs:
1) Memorize your Mission Statement. This is your organization’s purpose, the reason for your existence. This statement should guide the actions of the organization, spell out its overall goal, provide a sense of direction, and guide decision-making. Know it by heart and have your employees memorize it too.
Honoring Independence Day
What is it about America’s Independence Day that makes this holiday so sacred and significant to each of us? Is it the parades, fireworks, festivities, or commemorations? Is it the remembrance of honorable founding fathers who had the courage to stand up for and even fight for liberty? Or is it the appreciation of the countless thousands who have sacrificed and given their lives to preserve the very liberty and freedoms this country was founded on and still enjoys?
Do you always tell the truth?
The truth is powerful and it pays to align yourself with it! Think about how many times you’ve forsaken the truth just to get yourself out of a jam. But, you’re not forsaking the truth when it’s just a little white lie now are you? If you admit it, you probably realize that there were a number of times you’ve been called on for advice or your opinion, and rather than tell the truth, you told them what you thought they wanted to hear.
